About John Farris
A lifelong Baytown resident, John Farris has proudly called Baytown home for 57 years. His family’s roots in Baytown stretch back to 1923, when his Papo arrived from Mexico and began working for Humble Oil & Refining Company. John attended Lamar Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High, Robert E. Lee High School, and Lee College — growing up in the same neighborhoods he hopes to continue serving.
Listen first, work hard, and follow through.
FAMILY IS AT THE CORE
John and his wife, Patti, have been married for 31 years. Patti is also a lifelong Baytown resident, and together they raised their children through GCCISD schools. Professionally, John is a Senior Instrument & Electrical AutoCAD Designer with 36 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Community involvement has always been central to John’s life. He has coached youth soccer at the YMCA, football with the Baytown Optimist Club, Little League baseball, and softball with Baytown Girls Fastpitch Association. He also served on a GCCISD Bond Committee. John was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and is currently a member of Faith Family Church.
